Yesterday there was an LP market in our town, and I just picked up some fine 7"'s (EMF, Sugarcubes) plus a best of CD from Bomb The Bass. My question is this: does anybody knows that the source of a vocal sample on "Beat Dis (12" Version)"? The sample is a girl singing something like "Evereybody in the street...get down to the funky beat". It also has been used for a commercial recently. And there is another sample on "The Air You Breathe" which I couldn't identify: a man saying "Tell me that you never been one of them". I'm just curious, since the Bomb The Bass mini-site doesn't identify these ones. Thanks for anybody who may know the answers- a Gyerek "Ease yourself back into consciousness-I'm not a dream" _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus

'Everybody in the street' is from an early 80's Electro track, but sadly I don't know which one. IIRC, they had trouble sample permission for it and so they got a vocalist to re-sing it. They also had a problem with using the 'good, the bad and the ugly' theme towards the end of the track. I don't know how rare copies of this are that have the GB&U sample, but my 7" of Beat Dis has it, the 12" don't. Andrew

...and changed the line from "funky beat" to "crazy beat" (or possibly vice-versa) to boot. -Chris
