http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4008492703 Does anyone know why this seemingly "ordinary" Live at the SSL 12" seems to be going for 25 UKP (or over 60 Australian dollars) with still 2 days to go? Nothing seems to indicate it's a rare Possum issue, or has a "Wicker Man" sleeve, etc. Any ideas? John PS - Hopefully, I'll have scans from Jeremy J. Beadle's book "Will Pop Eat Itself?" uploaded to Robb's ftp tomorrow. In the meantime, two questions: (1) was Jeremy J. Beadle the author's real name (I suspect not!) and if not, who was it? And (2) in which folder can I find the "Justified and Shady" mp3 in Rob's server?
John, Jeremy J. Beadle was indeed the name of the author of "Will Pop Eat Itself". Although I remember rumours circulating that it was an alias for someone else (someone closer to the KLF themselves perhaps), I don't think this was the case. Using my Marlowe-like detective skills, I've just searched some Oxford University alumni site <insert sound of phlegmy spitting> and come up with this: "Jeremy J Beadle (Oriel) novelist, Radio 3 broadcaster, writer on pop and classical music. Sadly died of Aids in 1995. Commemorated by the Jeremy J Beadle prize for outstanding music writing". The J. initial there, presumably, to alert the casual reader that they are not about to buy a book by the most irritating game show host in the history of UK light entertainment, Jeremy 'No J.' Beadle - whose achievements I'm not going to dignify by summarising them for the list. Take care everyone. Angus
