so there´s one thing that i´m waiting for (on the list or on ebay) for months now: the amnesty picture singles !!!
Hi, Michael. I used to have an Amnesty Picture single - a 7" featuring Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries. I sold it on ebay to someone in Spain last year- for quite a lot of money. The guy collected these picture discs, rather than Cranberries records specifically. Also, I'm not sure if the Cranberries had a link with Amnesty International. I think AI just issued some discs with photos on them taken from magazines. The record played excerpts from a speech at an AI concert in 1987 (before the Cranberries were formed). I've never heard of one with Bill and Jimmy, though. But a quick Google search reveals Abba had Amnesty International picture discs (again, with no music on them) and they were available on 7" and 12". Does a PD issued by Amnesty International exist at all ? The FAQ just says they sent in the artwork of the T-speakers, but it was rejected... ? Am 14.10.2004 um 00:02 schrieb John Milne:

hello there, yes, that seems to be pretty much the same - the cranberries pd playing an ai-speech. i have four of those 7"-pd of the klf - all of them with klf-photos taken from magazines on the one side and some other photos on the other side. all of them playing samples of an ai-speech, no music at all (unfortunately). the run out groove says "porky". as they are picture discs there is no cover ore sleeve. they were sold on record fairs in germany back in 1997 or 1996, it was a record seller from england, i think. i remember that he couldn´t tell me anything about it, no idea if he had some more of other bands as well. strange items... any ideas if there are some more of this series ??? i can´t find them listed in any discography. greetings, michael --- John Milne <john@highlandland.fsnet.co.uk> wrote:

JPEG at 300 dpi would be perfect, although that might turn out a little too large to send via email. I will leave that up to you, I don't mind downloading huge emails at all. It'd be cool if Russell Banks, the new Dr. Who producer would get B&J to remix the Dr. Who theme for the new show. jr
