There is a far-fetched connection between "James Brown is dead" and KLF, and that connection is... Scooter. Scooter used large parts of the music from "James Brown is dead" in their single "Call me Manana" in 1999. The original by LA Style was (of course) much better, but anyway - since Scooter also uses a lot of KLF material in their songs - there you have the connection between LA Style and KLF. I know, it's a long shot... ;-) /Par -----Original Message----- From: Richard Haslock [mailto:richard.haslock@logicscope.com] Sent: den 28 augusti 2003 19:19 To: 'All bound for Mu-Mu Land.' guess it's time for the KLF-Oracle website ;) Pär Lydmark wrote:

what about "Well thanks Mr. James Brown, but you can have your samples back...'cause we've got something else..." On Gary In The Tardis? Of course, that was insinuating that James Brown was alive. jr
This thread is getting really freaky.... On one of the other lists that I'm subscribed to the main poster is a chap called James Brown, so I'm getting mail from one list with James Brown describing the best way to refit the boot lid on a Porsche 944, and mail from this list debating whether or not James Brown is dead.... I can therefore attest that at least one James Brown is alive and well!
