But don't you think that (although the graphics/mix aren't that bad), that this isn't official? Somehow, I don't think that this is the KLF, and I have my doubts as to whether there will be a documentary either... I could be wrong, though? Cheers, Nick ;-) -----Original Message----- On Behalf Of John Milne Not sure if Jon Mace is still around, Sebastian. I haven't heard from him for a while (apologies, Jon, if I'm overlooking something obvious). Sadly, a Google search for "Sheriff of Mu Mu County" only reveals a couple of posts here from mid-2003 (both featuring myself rather heavily - which makes me wonder, did I dream the whole thing?) It seems strange, though, with songs like "Love Trance" and "Turn Up the Strobe" causing such controversy despite (possibly) never being recorded, that here we have a song that definitely existed (both in its earlier "Lover's Side" incarnation and its later "Stadium House" mix) ... and yet any evidence of, even amongst uber-fans like Dutton and Lazlo, seems not to be there. Still, nice to have a wee bit of it on that download, as everyone has been saying. I wonder when this DVD will be appearing then? I know through other bands that cash-in DVDs can be pretty horrible affairs ... I hope this isn't going to be one of them. John

I think that the "sheriff" track only appears on the "Brandnew" website when you see the klf in the studio trying to record the lyrics. Maybe ask the guy who run "Brandnew" if he can tell you more... I think he's on the list. Seb

I just downloaded this as well, and I also took Screen shots and numbered them 1 - 4 so anyone can have the covers and track listings. I am very interested in getting the Sheriff of Mu Mu County. Can anyone help me out on this? Thankx,

Finally downloaded the "soundtrack" to the documentary from the above (which is, in fact, a megamix of things like KLF8R and KLF5R "Blue Danube" etc.) At one point, you can hear a snippet of "The Sheriff of Mu Mu County", the unreleased track from the 1990 "White Room" sessions, complete with the melody and trumpet from "The Lover's Side" (the unreleased track from the 1989 "White Room" sessions).
Is this just lifted from "Brandnew"'s documentary of recording sessions at Trancentral (like Bill's speech about "Pure Trance" on a mix of WTIL which came out a couple of years back) - or is it maybe taken from another source? Is there a full demo version out there somewhere?
Also - anyone have any idea why "Sheriff of Mu Mu County" never appeared on the "White Room" album? It seems as if they updated every other track from the 1989 soundtrack (apart from the not-topical-anymore "KSTJ"; and "Born Free", which was released by Vic Reeves as a cover about month after "The White Room" came out) - so why not "Sheriff of Mu Mu County"? I've always loved the melody.
John
