Is this genuine, then? Anyone know. I have no idea what CDRs
looked like in 1990. The sleeve looks very good, though.
I am not sure about the handwriting on the CDR itself. The sleeve looks like the one I knowalthough anybody could recreate that nowadays, so that's more a hint rather than proof.
"THE SPINE OF THE CD SAYS JAMS CD7"
Hmm..
Ok, I've checked and re-checked my copy and it looks like Tim's work, even down to the hand writting on the CD-R (notice also that the GT on the back is pixeled). I remember he was sellin' copies of 'em to fans at 1997, after the 2K show (and also on his site). The only way that i can think of to find out if this one is real, is to take a good look at the CD-R (which i'm about to do with some photoshmop magic) but my guess is, that it's Tim's work.
Ok, it's printed on a Dysan cheap ass CD-R which looks very similer to these ones: http://gfx.cdmediaworld.com/c/dysan_front_small.jpg top should be gold and bottom green. I doubt B&J would choose a "low quality" CD-R brand to print their promo on.
Note: low quality CD-R's can't handle the aging process very well.
IMO this is NOT a genuine!
Btw: I'm too lazy to check my 'WFTROM' CD, but i remember that 'Waiting' is shorter there by a minute or something because 'TROM' & 'Waiting' couldn't fit on a 74min CD (on the CD-R 'Waiting' is 43:18 minutes long), same case as on the 'Space & Chill Out' bootleg if i remember right ('Chill Out' got Chilled Cut!:-)
Ok that was boring, i'm goin' to bed, g'night!
