--- Typical OT Thread --- User1: "There's a new album by Band1 out you might like" User2: "Band1 sucks. your taste sucks. I know of one or more similar obscure bands that are much better. the only good album by Band1 was WorstAlbum1, or maybe MostPopularAlbum1... anyways, thanks for sharing your preferences, even though they're wrong." -ecna- KLF- gyerek wrote:
I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one who don't get what sp are about. In fact, I hate their music, their persona, their image, their tendency to show disgusting videos during their shows. And still there are people who are buying it for some reason.
Several people told me that sp are geniuses etc etc etc, I tried some of their albums (too dark park, last rights, the process etc) but all I found in their "songs" were self-abusement, snobism, misogyny, and some stupid (anti)religionism. I don't know what the fuck were they about.
I read Dwayne's "letter" when he wrote near before he OD'd (a local industrial fanzine printed it). I felt the same when I first met the "life" and "works" of Sid Vicious and Kurt Cobain: some poor fucker becomes "somebody", thinks he's somebody and finally feels the urge to destroy that somebody he thinks he became. His last words were the perfect embodiment of all that can be wrong in a mind. And still, his "friends" carry on, not so long after they said they'd never tour or release an album, "since Dwayne is dead, no more sp". Fact is, their other stuff never sold as well as sp. And who bought sp? Mostly white middle-class kids who got their kicks from seeing a dog disemboweled in a concert. And the sp guys said it was all about pro-animal rights...heroinists logic or what...fuck.
Try Meat Beat Manifesto or Laibach instead. Or maybe TG. I personally recommend MBM or Laibach. Or Death In June. They are the BEST.
I'm sorry for my bad English but I'm ill and in pain. Sorry for the f-words for the same reason.
