Is is possible for someone to give me some valuations for my KLF stuff?
Always a tricky thing to do. KLF stuff is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it! The answer is probably "not as much as you would like". I've been following KLF prices on eBay and EIL for years now and prices have remained pretty much static during this time, which means a decrease in real terms. Everything apart from the *extremely* rare stuff (that is, stuff that was thought never to have been released at all, usually) will usually appear once every six months or so, so that collectors who have only a regular amount of patience are quite able to "pass" on an overpriced item and wait for it to appear again. Plus, the number of bootleg re-releases in recent years has also dampened the market. (Having said that, I still don't believe what bootleg KLF compilation videos sell for sometimes.)
I have the following, all are good condition:
12" JAMS LP1 1987: What the fuck is going on? Bootleg of original 12" JAMS LP1 1987: What the fuck is going on? 45 Edits with instructions 12" JAMS LP2 <No Title> with insert 12" JAMS LP3 Shag Times gatefold 12" JAMS LP4 What time is Love Story 12" JAMS LP5 Chill Out 12" JAMS 27T Down Town in picture sleeve 12" KLF 010T Kylie said to Jason with poster
IMHO, the bootleg is worth a fiver and the rest probably a tenner to 20 quid. On a good day on eBay you could probably get twice that though. The world is a fickle place. I think the JAMS LP2 (actually called "Who Killed The JAMS?") is probably the rarest item there, followed by KLF010T, then What Time Is Love Story.
I also have a single sided 7" Top of The Pops remix of (I think) 3AM Eternal. I have been told this is quite rare, can anyone give me some info on it? How many copies are out there and how it came about?
I think you're referring to the Brit Awards version of 3Am Eternal, done with Extreme Noise Terror. That's a rarer item than anything else you listed. For info on pressing numbers the best place to check is the discography at www.klf.de. (Where it says this item was limited to 1000 copies.) And it came about because Bill and Jimmy wanted to "go out with a bang". <grin> Michael
