Actually, there is no physical difference between blank PAL VHS and NTSC VHS tapes, so you can use ones from Woolworths as long as you record NTSC onto them. The only difference is that you won't fit so much on the tape, since the US standard uses up tape faster, 30 frames/sec compared to our 25. However, be warned that many NTSC/PAL video recorders can only do standard conversion on playback, not while recording. - Andy_R
