Hi, I noticed in some of the earlier posts that there was a mention of the PDO rot problem. I don't know if I've been fortunate, or merely don't really notice the deterioration much, but my copies of JAMSCD3, 4, 5, 6, SPACE CD1, KLFCD 010 and 004 are all reasonable to the eye and still play fine. As far as I'm aware, these are the only KLF discs that were manufactured by PDO and affected by the problem, but I may be wrong. Admittedly, there is a slight browning in both "Shag Times" and "WTILS", which I gather is one of the symptoms, but this has not got worse in about four years with either of them. I just store my CDs normally, in the boxes, and they have been carted from home to home for over a decade now. Have I just been lucky, or is the PDO problem limited in its scope? Or again, do I have the death of my CDs still to look forward to? John Not Scots, just Scott-ish PS - If anyone else has any rare Happy Mondays or Julian Cope CDs from the same era ("Wrote For Luck" original CD single, "Droolian", "Skellington", etc.) and is suffering from PDO rot, could you please contact me? I'd like to know if these CDs (which are all PDO btw) are affected too. You can e-mail me off-list if you prefer.
