From what I understand, there's the "Edit" (a cut version of KLF5T a-side) which appears as track 2 of TWROST, and there's the "UK Edit" (a fully released version, track 1 side 1 of KLF5R). The "Edit" is just a cut-down version of the original "Pure Trance", but the "UK Edit" is quite different, with a different beat - it's more an edit of the "Break For Love" mix, also with elements of the Moody Boys 1989 original. It's this "UK Edit" which appears on the "Vitamin E" CD, seemingly mastered from vinyl.
Which version is track 2 on your (possibly) Dutton cassette, Simon? Is the "UK Edit" one of the extra tracks, or part of the actually album tracks

i recently unearthed one of my old TWROST cassettes, i think it might be a Dutton creation as it has the cartoonised 'why sheep?' pic and some extra tracks, and i had forgotten that it also includes an edit of one of the Pure Trance mixes of 3AM, which seems a little out of place...i think it might be the edit that features on one of the old rave compilations John mentioned recently
more recent tidied-up 'versions' of the album didn't include this so what's the deal? was it intended to be included?
i want to make an extended CD of TWROST and it would be nice to include 3AM but i am tempted to go for Thomas' cleaned up/remixed 1990 demo, which kinda bridges the gap nicely between TWROST and the 1991 release of The White Room
