Quoting RMStringer <RMStringer@austin.rr.com>:
If you don't like leave also....sorry I forgot to do it as I just answered a question for a list member. If he did not do it should he also be chastised?
I dunno. Does he ever post anything other than "CAn some1 u/l to my server?" or "Is this on my FTP?" or "WHO has [completely non-K-related track] and can encode and u/l?"? Did he inspire a week-long argument on this list, the most divisive I've seen in eight years here, that was settled by collective agreement on him using the prefix? In the months since that agreement, did he consistently fail to do so? Deleting it isn't the problem - hell, months before the listwar, I'd already gotten fed up with Mr Stringer's endless, illiterately-phrased pleas for people to steal music for him and filtered his address directly to trash at home, so I only see his posts when out of town or checking my mail at work. The problem is that a situation that disrupted the list terribly and led to the departure of at least one long-term, usefully contributing listmember had a solution democratically proposed within the list and accepted by Mr Stringer. If it didn't upset a lot of people, then there wouldn't have been the listwar in the first place - but as other objections by people who don't filter his posts (and remember, the whole point of the [FTP] prefix is so that people who still want to read his biannual on-topic posts [such as, say, telling us that Cressida is actually P.P. Arnold] can FILTER THAT PREFIX) indicate, he's still, through carelessness, stupidity or wilful desire to give people the shits, not doing it. So, Bad Wisdom, eh? Anyone got the new Love Reaction album or Collateral Damage and want to tell us if there are the usual Drummond references in either?
