Sounds like a cut'n'paste job to me. At least *some* effort was put in those. ..::// Thomas Touzimsky "After you finish the first 90% of a project, you have to finish the other 90%." - Michael Abrash Am 28.09.2010 um 19:38 schrieb John Milne:
I got a copy of the "new" EP (number 3 of 5, apparently) from acmeproductions off eBay at the weekend. A few other people have posted rather eloquently about the pros and cons of collecting these new KLF "rarities", but for information purposes only: two of the four tracks appear to be "new" (although not staggering so).
The version of "Last Train to Tracentral" is an extended version (8 min 20) of KLF008R's a-side (the more ambient mix, which appears on the "Ambient House" CD comp but NOT on KLF8CD). It sounds a bit like it might be the mix they used for the "Mu D. Vari-Speed" version in 1991 - but played all the way through at the right speed (although I don't have the technical ability to check that).
The version of "It's Grim Up North" is an extended version (7 min 20) of IGUN Part 2.
As before, I have no evidence of the providence of these mixes (i.e., they might not necessarily be unreleased B&J out-takes).
