Someone's making a map of this, right? Male (huge surprise), 33, Boston. I'm almost a little surprised by the number of non-UK folks speaking up. I'll go back to lurking... I remember 3AM Eternal and a couple other KLF videos on MTV when they were first aired, but didn't give them much thought (in my mind, I associated them with Snap! of "The Power" and "Rhythm is a Dancer" fame). A few years later, got into The Orb and eventually went back to reevaluate and love the KLF stuff. Chillout, in particular, has been a big part of my listening life. Oh, all right....
Male, 45, outside Chicago.
Watched 3AM Eternal on MTV and while I didn't care for the song, I liked the 'sound' and there seemed to be more going on just a rapper driving around London, like, what's up with those guys sleeping in the backseat? Picked up the White Room and that was it. Curiosity by the odd liner notes (everything was sampled from obscure releases off one obscure label?) answered by buying a bootleg 1987 and the best of comp, and by a friend who just happened to be in the middle of Illuminatus Trilogy when I put on WR.
BTW - The list stopped sending me emails several years ago and I finally figured out what the problem was not long ago. I've been a member since, I dunno, 1995?
