Well, they certainly used the "KLF" bit a few times in other contexts ("Made @ 3AM" and "This is Not What The KLF Are About" are two examples I can think of first off)! I quite like the segue from "It Must Be Obvious" into Jimmy's bleepy heaven and out again: it's like a clash of two worlds. I suppose they could have lifted their version out completely and made it a different track (much as Weatherall's remix of "I'm Losing More Than I Ever Have" became a new track: Primal Scream's "Loaded") and issued it on the single of "IGUN" or something (where I think it would have fitted quite well). Also - I wonder if elements of Alex Paterson's "IGUN" remix is somewhere to be found in the UFO mix? John

Didn't one of the reviews for "1987" printed in the "Shag Times" sleeve say something like "if you listen hard enough, you can probably hear your own voice as part of the mix ... "? The UFO Mix is a bit like that - everything but the kitchen sink!
John
I dont know about you guys but for me the UFO remix is one of the finest pieces of work the boys made. I never really think of it as a PSB remix, more just like a KLF track in its own right.
If i were those guys halfway through making it i'd have ditched the PSB elements and completed it as a KLF track. Then could always started a Must Be Obvious remix from scratch again hehehe
