John, unfortunately there is no connection such as that you mentioned as the name 'evil edit' was made up for this unknown mix by myself! the cd-r it came on had no tracklist and thus no name for the track
 
Dan - Other than on this cd-r i've also never come across this mix, but i was wondering how you can tell it was taken from vinyl? i am not aware of any scratches or pops, just some hiss at the end that suggests it came from a tape to me
 
The only possible way i think we can trace this mix is by finding out who sold it to me! I know the record dealer was called 'Vinyl Addiction' so i will do a bit of a google to see if he is still operating
 
Maarten you mentioned you still have some correspondence from the guy, so any addresses on those?
 
I'm glad this mix has caused a lot of interest! It's silly i've been sitting on it all this time really...
