grey its grim up north is one of the few i have without... the pressing plants i have used over the years have all insisted on putting something on there.

I've got a number of KLF releases without any labels on them, off the
top of my head:

JAMS28R grey vinyl
JAMS28R black vinyl test press
AMERICA PROMO 1 (single sided test press of KLF USA 4X)

Usually pressing plants will charge for labels so it's up to the
customer really...

interesting thought! It would be interesting to see a copy with labels,
which draws several technical issues... If labels were stuck on, they
would probably be on top of white labels, so you could probably tell by
the thickness... pressing plants always seem to insist on labels going
on records... or you could scan in the artwork and have 1000 label pairs
done for �80. A run of only 3 copies! Even test presses from Damont
always came as a minimum 6 copies and most other places 10. Surely this
figure comes from somebody asking somebody else who said 3 (maybe after
3 being given away to some dj friends?). back to the run out grooves
(which if handwritten could be copied fairly exactly).
