Talking of tradition ... a quick Google of "KLF Greatest Hits" turns up a few links. Apart from our own aborted "Truckstop JAMs" project, there's this: http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:zyssmj2aYBcJ:www.dancemusicireland.com/... (sorry for the long URL, but the post only shows up in Google Cache). Anyway, the text, dated 5th December 2007, is this: "I was lookin for the following KLF tracks, if anyone can help that would be cool. Puttin together an unofficial KLF greatest Hits, my mates doin artwork and all for it! 1: Doctorin the Tardis (the Time lords) 2: What time is love (uk) 3: 3 am eternal (Stadium House) 5: 2k (klf) Fuck the millenium 6: Make It Rain (the white room album) 7. Church Of The KLF (the white room album) 8 Build A Fire (the white room album) 9 The White Room (the white room album) 10 No More Tears (the white room album)" No LTTT? Anyway, the mention of someone doing artwork intrigued me. Anyone on the DanceMusicIreland forum, or know anything more about this? Also, another KLF Greatest Hits link is here: http://phs.abstractdynamics.org/2004/07/, a post about the KLF Vs. Germany project dated 23rd (ho ho) July 2004. I've never seen a fuller explanation of the planned project: "Start salivating now: Dittmar Frohmann: "I am currently compiling an officially authorized and supported album with versions of The KLF's greatest hits, performed and reworked by german artists such as Toktok + Autotune, Tobi Neumann, Ricardo Villalobos, Justus Köhncke + Andreas Dorau, Tocadisco, Deichkind and Bela B. The 2CD set entitled "Justified" will be released this autumn in cooperation between Blaou and Superstar. Bill will write the liner notes, and both of them will provide some exclusive artwork for the album." Thanks to Tobias for the link!" Ah ... why did that one peter out? It was a great idea! The German reissue of "The Manual"/"Das Handbuch" went well (and was probably the last officially sanction Bill and Jimmy product), so why did "Justified" not see the light of day as anything other than three low-key 12" singles? Oh, and happy new year everyone! John

Gotta say - the "truth" behind this -- still just as cool as if it HAD been Bill and Jim... the care that went into crafting the ruse makes this, to my mind, almost cannon... a cool job and a cool story. Glad to see it was a labour of love, and not just some random scam.
I must agree as this was quite a post on here at the time... every-one was "who is this"....
Great to see that there are still people ready to carry on the tradition of "the KLF"
