I've been digging through a recent haul of prog rock LPs and stumbled across this one by Yes;

The first track "No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed" has a couple of sections where there's an interpretation of the "Theme from the Big Country"...
To me, this sounds like perhaps the closest source of the LTTT strings.
