my usual stomping ground for record shops is soho...you can sometimes still pick up a bargain there, but it's becoming trickier... if you troop along oxford street away from regents street. once you get to hmv, nip down the nearest side street on the other side of the road from hmv (i think there's a shoe shop on the corner)...keep going down here and eventually you should end up in the thick of things. record shops round here are ; selectadisc, music&video exchange, black market records, mr bongos, sister ray, ambient soho... alternatively try these places ; http://www.londonnet.co.uk/ln/out/music/record-shops.html if you're about in soho, try tracking down the new picadilly cafe just off picadilly circus, it's a real nice place to grab some food & drink cheerio neil
