My short answer is yes. They filmed it, partially burned notes were found on the beach, bank statements show the withdrawal, and they paid the fine for destroying the money It would have been cool if they kept touring with the ashes throughout the UK. They basically held a few town-hall type meetings to see what people thought about the burning. I'm not sure how many they did but in the one I listened to the people got really disgusted with them. Mostly they couldn't understand why B&J didn't donate it to charity rather than waste it. I'm not sure what reaction they were expecting but it was pretty interesting listening to people getting so angry that they could barely speak. If you think about it, they actually boosted the value of the UKP by taking all that money out of circulation. Why should you pay a fine for doing that?
