For me this is rather important. How many of you have got a testpressing of 8R? And what do you think such an item is worth at the moment? Same questions for 028T (grey) and 5TOTP T/p and clear vinyl. I need to know this for the insurance compagny since I am going to move elsewhere. They would like to know the marketvalue nowadays.
I can't answer those questions I'm afraid (try looking in a copy of the latest Record Collector price guide, that's what most record shops here in england go by) but I've got a slightly off-topic related question. I recently realised that my house insurance only covers me for up to £4k on a single collection (e.g. jewellry/stamps/records) so I need to get some more specific cover for my records. Has anyone else done this? Can anyone in the UK recommend anywhere good for this sort of thing? I'm busy putting my collection into a database (which is mind-numbingly tedious) so it should just be a case of telling them how much it's worth in total and giving them a copy of the list, right? or will some items need to be covered individually?
