I tried to find a free dvd ripper ages ago without success, ended up getting dvd fab, its very good, the only downside is
it will cost you about £30, but that is for a lifetime subscription so it is good value.

On another note, is there a usable free dvd audio ripper someone
can recommend ? I find myself more or less with a bunch of dvd only releases whereas I would love to listen to the audio as with any other music format.
