says that the proof copy of Bad Wisdom they have is going to be published again in April.. does this mean the old one was deleted (e.g. not in print for the time being)?

It's been out of print for years now, hasn't it? Anyway, a quick check on Amazon.com shows it is indeed being republished in April by Creation Books. I wonder if it's expanded or anything?
