Nowadays, of course, he's bald, pale and myopic, with a long twirly white beard which makes him look a bit like a parsnip in sunglasses. I reckon if he returns to the UK from Vietnam he may need Bill & Jimmy's black gowns as a disguise!

I'm sure Winston is right, and the footage was from Christmas TOTP 1988. Who knows, maybe even the BBC will release it on DVD - but Glitter's involvment could maybe rule that out.
