Oh, yes, that's the real GG all right. No actor or parody could really be any worse the Godfather of Glam, the King of Stomp ... etc. etc. etc.

Nowadays, of course, he's bald, pale and myopic, with a long twirly white beard which makes him look a bit like a parsnip in sunglasses. I reckon if he returns to the UK from Vietnam he may need Bill & Jimmy's black gowns as a disguise!

I'm sure Winston is right, and the footage was from Christmas TOTP 1988. Who knows, maybe even the BBC will release it on DVD - but Glitter's involvment could maybe rule that out.
