Thanks for the links to both Tweety Pie and Katey Pie! :-) I notice that the building in the background of the Nigella Lawson one is the same that features the "Today" newspaper billboard saying "THE GULF" which Bill and Jimmy spraypainted to read "THE (K)LF". I know it's in Brixton, but what is it again? Anyway ... is Jimmy purposely picking people who are slightly culturally off-the-boil? I mean, Kate Moss and Nigella? It's all very 2003 (or in Moss' case 1991-2003). And also, is the description of Jimmy (not Harry) as a "young man" purposely taking the piss out of "young British artists"? At the end of the day, these are good jokes - splendid in fact. But as Gimpo was once quoted as saying: "Why do all British artists want to be comedians?" I blame Damien Hirst's Vic Reeves obsesssion. Yup - funny jokes. But it has to be more than that. It has to touch the soul. With the KLF, Jimmy did that (occasionally). Now he's clever, funny, witty with a visual flair. But none of his sub-Bansky Hoxtonite art stuff has ever actually got through to the soul. Discuss ... :-)
