The Martyn Bennett post was due to a question about a Blacksmoke track. This thread has come up before and someone on the list, don’t remember slipped the track to the blacksmoke server and renamed it. The track was from Martyn Bennett and not blacksmoke. That was the meaning of that post. If I remember the track was called “at the gates” but eh actual song is called “liberation” Second, I have not held my server of this list. It is free to use for everyone that can login hence the blanket KLF login. I do not go and actively seek to purchase KLF stuff. I host the server as a help and a repository for the list. IF someone gets something rare and wants to share it, my server is there for that. It just so happens that I get to keep a copy of it. I don’t own a turntable so vinyl is useless to me as it is to some of the members of the list. I just offer my services, take them or leave them.  My bad for the asking post to Olav, I did not have his newest email and used the list. Sorry for that.  I am still here and not going home. I did not use my server as leverage on this list. I merely made a point. I offer it up for free. If people place files on it. That is great, if not, fine also.. I am sorry for pissing off a few people. The mix has some KLF stuff in it. That is why I offered it. I will discuss this no more on the open list. The server is up and running so enjoy.

No offence here, RM, but think about it for a moment.  It's not if people like you or not, it's more that despite this being a KLF list, I (at least) can't recall one time in recent months where you contributed anything worthwhile discussion wise.

Looking at your posts still available on my email server you posted a few "me too" requests where someone has offered a track (so you can add it to your server), offered that your server has a majority of KLF tracks, several posts asking or commenting on how to convert audio formats to other, several posts re Martyn Bennett (relevance being lost on me), asking for help because you can't access your website (?), alerted us that you've uploaded pics of your family to your site, and offered up a new mix you did.  Twenty-some posts and one or two of interest to the group at large.  This is about average for any time period we could look at.

Everyone appreciates your server being available, and we all tolerate the occasional question or off topic post because, after all, we're all friends here in a sense.

I do, however, dislike you dangling your ftp server in front of us when someone complains but your lack of relevant posts.  You come off, frankly, like a kid telling us he'll take his ball and go home.  Yes, we have all used it at some point, yes we all appreciate it, but don't threaten us with it just because someone tells you (again) to at least put an [OT] at the start of your posts.  Your server doesn't give you license to, as someone says, treat the list as your personal help desk.
