I wouldn't mind a catalog reissue assisted by the list or not. They could give all the money away if they wanted, or use it for some art project. Dan On Mar 13, 2012, at 11:19 AM, Theritesofmu <theritesofmu@aol.com> wrote:
I think it would be great for a song to appear in the charts by an unknown act that stayed there for a few weeks & everyone wondered who they were then BAM... The cloaks come off... It was 2 robots from 2323 being controlled by B+J.....
Enough rarites are turning up to keep us Interested thanks to PVC + Gimpo.... Thanks guys....
P.s. if you speak to B+J anytime soon... Put our ideas forward for a one-off hit...
Peace

This is a double edged sword for me....
On the one hand I would love them to make a comeback because it means there's all sorts of new interest and so forth......
On the other, comebacks have become increasingly naff in recent years IMO. The likes of The Spice Girls and Take That have ruined that whole scene. For me, right now, a comeback is what you do when you've run out of money, and it's never a gracious thing to do anymore. It's actually an admission of failure in what was done after the band split.
It would be doubly uncool for The KLF to make a comeback, since all they stand/stood for with their 'deleting the back catalogue' statement and the burning of the million would be undermined......
But I'd still love for it to happen.

this topic returns again and again...
i remember reading 45 by Kingboy D and how hard was to produce 2k track because they were behind bout what was going on in music production... its a lame excuse imho from someone who was still recording, remixing and releasing after KLF was shutdown. not to mention that sound engineer is somewhat responsible for creating what artists want. if you can make it you just hire someone and thats all.
Jimmy regrets deleting backcatalogue? hell, such harcore fanbase that is right here could be very helpful if he just would say GO! if he knows bout us and work that has been going on either on list or in PVC HQ.
crapness of comebacks? c'mon KLF could rework unrelased materials into new sounds without being setimental another WTIL remix shit.
look at the band SPARKS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparks_(band) guys have been performing since 1968 and their albums still fresh.
we got the power here, we still believe in them and someway try to tell JC & BD that our waiting isn't over at least try to persuadee them
or just sit and remember ancient times...
