Correction: ALAC does support 24bit.
In fact I have up to 32bit/384Kbps alac files in my iTunes library.

There's no reliable, advisable way to get iTunes/iPod to play FLAC. There are hacks, but I wouldn't recommended them.As far as I know, sonically there is zero difference between AL and FLAC. Audiophiles have looked at this extensively. However, FLAC does usually have slightly smaller file sizes than AL and FLAC will support 24 bit currently and AL won't, although Apple intends to address this.In the future, I will upload in both AL AND FLAC.Everybody happy?
DanI'm fine if FLAC is a better format, but I don't want a separate player/library for my FLAC versus my MP3/M4A/AAC. Does anyone know of a way to get iTunes to play FLAC?
