That's very depressing - the copy of KLF 92 PROMO 3 that I've had all these years turns out to be a fake... Anybody know how many of these fake pressings exist? There can't be too many of them around or you'd see them up for sale fairly regularly. Thinking back, I must have bought mine about 10 years ago from upstairs in the Music and Video Exchange shop in Notting Hill. I paid about £145 for it - which was a lot of money at the time - looks like I've lost my 'investment'. There was a whole thread about it a couple weeks ago, so I guess you must have missed it. You will need one of the records below for comparison. The fundamental difference is that the bootleg etching is about twice the size of the authentic version. If the handwriting doesn't match the size and style of KLF 92 PROMO 2 (America: What Time Is January?) then it's a fake. If the handwriting does match that the size and style of ETERNITY 23 bootleg (one-sided Madrugada Eterna club mix) it's a fake. Hi everyone, I'm currently selling my copy of this on ebay at the moment and I'm certain it's genuine, but I've just had a question about the run-out groove...I didn't realise there are bootlegs of this about, but I guess you can never be too sure...are there any easily identifiable differences between the pucker item and the dodgy one, so I can put possible bidders minds at rest ? ta in advance neil _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself with cool new emoticons http://www.msn.co.uk/specials/myemo _______________________________________________ KLF mailing list KLF@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/klf _______________________________________________ KLF mailing list KLF@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/klf
