While digging around on some old hard drives over the weekend, I found a bunch of tracks from the CD "Throat Singing from Center of Asia".
 
A track called "Collection of Choomej Styles" by Oleg Kuular sounded rather familiar, so I've uploaded it into the usual dedicated sharing site - under Music:Samples:Chill Out
 
I could be wrong, but it sounds a likely source.
