Man, I'm shocked! After all these years of hunting KLF treasures you come along with that mix that I had not heard before. Whew! Just got to swallow that fact.I have had several listens to the track now and I would say it is definately genuine as the sounds are the original ones and some of them are unbelievably clean. It's hard to find the proper words... It really sounds like a version recorded between the pure trance mix and the Land of Oz/Primal Mix as it contains sounds of all of them. WOW!Where exactly does this mix come from. As you can tell from the wav it has been recorded off a vinyl. But which one? Does anyone on this list own this mix somewhere?Hope things get cleared up. Otherwise my nervous system will remain in this kind of shock... ;-)Cheers, Dan

yeah i got that White Room CD too, wrongly thinking it would be an improvement on previous cassette versions. also 20 pounds as you said. perhaps some of the other tracks were harder to get back then but you are not missing much re, BTBB now, and i've just made the only interesting track available =)sorry for anyone having problems with megaupload, i simply copied the links it gave me but perhaps i missed something...don't use it very often
Thanks for the tracklist! I've just downloaded the track and will let you know what I think.
That other CD-R also came in a white card sleeve with a printed sticker saying: "KLF White Room s/track". Black innersleeve, no other info. It's in use now for storing my
Love Trance labels. The CDR costed me around 20 pounds. Still got some letters laying around from a guy named "Pete" from vinyl addiction

Subject: [KLF] bring the beat back & unknown WTIL edit download
OK for Maarten and anyone else who is interested here is the tracklist for the 'Bring the Beat Back' CD-R bootlegI think this was *ahem* 'released' around 1997-98 and came on a blank blue cd-r in a card sleeve, printed sticker with the title and a nice little black inner sleeve but no other info/tracklist1. WTIL (Power mix)2. WTIL (Primal remix)3. WTIL (Techno Slam mix)4. WTIL (Pure Trance mix)5. WTIL (Unknown edit - see below)6. WTIL (DMC or similar mix - see below)7. J&A (Anti-Accapella mix)8. 3AM Eternal (feat ENT)9. Madrugada Eterna (Club mix)10.America WTIL (KLF92promo2 mix AKA What Time is January)I sometimes get the Primal & Techno slam mixes the wrong way around so just in case, the former has an intro before the 2001 sample, the latter starts with the sample and is generally 'slammier'! I also don't have 004T to hand so track 4 is the mix with a beat. Track 6 is the DMC or similar DJ remix that starts "What Time Is Love W-W-What Time Is Love Love" or whatever...not great.Track 5 is the aforementioned unknown edit i have never seen or heard elsewhere. Thomas, some time ago I shared this with the AudioGalaxy KLF group and you suggested it was the Power mix edit, but it's not! (incidentally the Power mix edit is an interesting track and quite different to the full mix IIRC). This edit has similarities with the Power, Monster Attack and Live at the Land of Oz mixes with similar (but different) 'live' drums, but is quite intense in it's tweaking and phasing if you turn up the volume. Accordingly I have uploaded it for people to check out, and have called it the evil (almost live!) edit, just for the hell of it:...is a WAV directly from the CD-R which my current computer drive seemed to manage OK sans the distortion i mentioned before (i had to do a bit of splicing due to the wonky track splits i mentioned). The distortion is possibly still present on the cymbal/hi-hat sounds as they sound a bit lispy, and there is a little background hiss at the end so if anyone feels the inclination to clean this up and probably do a better job than i could, please go for itFor those lazy f*ckers, dial-up kids or those with only a mild interest here is an MP3:I would be interested to see what people think as I love this version...simple but effective, retaining the signature of the 004T mixes but a bit more varied and scary =)tbc.
