Alex Patterson often wondered why the first Cydonia versions were bootlegged before being distributed officially. The only thing Alex could think of was that someone from "inside" made these early versions available. His right hand slipped these demo's out since he had acces to the masters. The Monster Attack Mix has been pressed upto 3. The discog states that both B&J and Youth got one. </speculation on> Due to "public demand", it was released but not by B&J, since they've never had the intention releasing this track on forehand. Remains Youth as the 3rd one who ownes a copy. Maybe he was the one. </speculation off > Regarding Love Trance: If you're listening at 3 am and wtil, you'll be struck by the fact that it's a *totally* different track. It contains a line sung by a woman. Now that's a rather uncommon thing for those pure trance releases, isn't it? Could be a fan made mix, which I doubt by the way. *Or* Youth made it and featured as the b-side mix for PT3, The vinyl is heavy with round edges. The same as KLF010R; +/-180 gr I think. Boots are often more flexi and haven't got those round edges. Am not doubting the authenticity of the record ansich since it was pressed by adrenalin. Same handwriting etc. The reasons why I am doubting about it's authenticity are the following: First of all, I am the proud? owner of the A and B side labels of PT3. John is the owner of the PT4 labels (the yellow ones) Usually, labels are made to be stuck on records, not for selling seperately. Same goes for the sleeves. Moreover, Jimmy is clear in his interviews at brandnew.co.uk stating the PT3 never been recorded/pressed due to the acid thing. They scrapped the whole sessions. The only surviving record then was 008R. The only ones who could clearify this, are, ofcourse, the mystical duo themselfs, who probabely won't give a flying fcuk about this whole discussion anyways... M

Ofcourse it's a genuine item. How can I be so blind not seeing this!?
Sarcasm aside, I too feel it's genuine, based on the clarity of the b-side, the Monster Attack mix of WTIL.
Too have included that track, which, according to the discog, was only pressed on 3 discs but we'll say it's slightly higher, you would need to have one of the following:
- an original pressing with Monster on it - One of the two bootleg compilations containing it (WROST and Arkive 1) - Master tapes .
The sound quality of Miles pressing of Monster far surpasses the quality of both the bootleg version so they are clearly ruled out.
So, the bootlegger must have had their own copy of Monster, or it's genuine. Chances are that the bootleger/manufacturer had a copy of this pressing, plus a set of labels and sleeves narrows down that option considerably. But there is still that chance.
Given the facts, which is more likely? (not that facts matter to some here)
