version from the tape that was recovered by PVC shows clearly that bootleg circulating on marble vinyl is more advanced version - both have the same line liberated from Kraftwerk DAS MODELL coincidence? i dont think so...

I would advise against the glue method because tiny residues could stay within the grooves. This is about as tenuous as it gets but.. The beginning of WTIL Moody Boys vs The KLF the Rastafarian guy says: THIS is a rastafarian folk song... At the beginning of Massive Attack there is a sample of a guy and he says THIS.... It sounds the same to me, and I've always thought it. Might be a koincidence, might me the same. I love samples and the way we stumble across stuff we've heard before. It varies from pressing plant to pressing plant. I made a few records in the late 80's/early 90's and the number of test presses we received varied between 3 and 20. Some pressing plants would accept an order for 1 copy, while others wouldn't accept orders smaller than 500 copies. It's bit hard to believe these "only 3 pressed" claims, as I don't believe that any pressing plant would do only 3, even if it was a test press. Vinyl Love

OK, I've always been one of those guys who has preferred CD because it sounds good without all the fuss; but there's still a lot of stuff out there that's vinyl only. For the past 23 (yes 23) years I've depended on my trusty Sony linear-tracking turntable to transpose my vinyl onto cassette, then minidisc, then digital. I've uploaded the most recent things to someplace you might know. However, my trusty turntable died last week. I tried to get it fixed, but I was told over and over "don't fix that piece of shit, buy a Technics." So I broke down and bought a refurbished Technics 1200. Still calibrating it but I must say after testing it with a bootleg of Madrugda Eterna (club mix) the thing sounds amazing! The White Room...... Again

For whatever reason, we're going back to Tabernas and the Sierra Nevada after the summer, in the Ford. We're intending to travel around November time, which is when I think the original White Room was filmed. I hope it's not as hot as it was last April. We're going to spending less time there, probably about 5 days in the area, we were scratching our heads last time wondering what to do for a lot of the time. Do we have any Spanish speakers on the list? I want to get a bunch of placards stating our business over there. Last time people were so interested and we just didn't have the means to communicate, most difficult of all were the police, they stopped us every five minutes and that was defiantly out of curiousity than anything else. This time we intend to make it to the White Room, even though last year the car never made it up the mountain, it may have to be a three or four stage attempt - but we're getting to the top whatever happens. If anyone's got and tips or requests please let us hear them.

Having seen some klf items go for crazy prices on ebay recently what price would any of the list members reasonably think acceptable if 004M turned up. We all dream of getting our hands on one of these, but realistically how deep into our pockets could anybody really afford to go, and what would be the most valuable klf collectable be?

Touring Australia at the moment, there was a wee interview with Dr LX in a local music paper [Drum Media, Sydney AU, coverdate 21st Feb 2012] this week, including the following quote on the history of The Orb: "Whenever I think of how long The Orb has lasted, I always think of two really close friends," Paterson reflects. "Youth - who was in Killing Joke and then out of Killing Joke and is now back in Killing Joke after ten years and who was in The Orb with me - and Jimmy Cauty - who actually started The Orb with me before he went on to work on The KLF and eventually delete their entire catalogue, something he very much regrets doing, just by the way. "They both, in their own way, can see The Orb as a vehicel for themselves as well as a vehicle for me - and that's a pleasure for me. When the time is right, Jimmy will come back to The Orb and do some music with me. It's like having a home. A virtual home in the sky."
