Nice to hear a bit of KLF on Daytime Radio! BBC Radio 1 Mark n Lard just did a little piece on the burning a million quid episode and played J&A (all bound for mu mu land). Made my afternoon. Pure class! Andrew

Unfortunately, this album is not too interesting if you are into the KLF just for the music, as there are not that much similarities between her solo work and the contributions to B&J. Worth picking up for completeing the collection, though... She doesn't sing with the Drum Club anymore, and their management had no idea where Maxine is these days when I asked them.

I have to choose between A and B. A.: Wanda D is a goddes (on her knees?), a singstress, a sex symbol, a diva and a rapper. If that's true, I have to burn all my KLF stuff, then sell my Public Enemy CD's, after all I have to destroy all remaining copies of my valuable music, throw out Aretha Franklin LP's and Nikka Costa's promo CD's, then I have to collect ALL friggin' Wanda D, Scooter and Fun Factory releases, and claiming that 2 unlimited are progressive. John Lundberg from the Circlemakers has asked me to enquire whether anyone might know the contact details for Kevin Hull, who directed "A Foundation Course in Art", the BBC documentary on Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty back in 1995, as he would like to talk to him about another documentary that he directed called "Relics: Einstein's Brain" for an article which he is writing about the use of deception in documentary. Gad no! Of course I'm not. It's a bit like if the bunch of guys are in the pub and then one of them gets up to go for a piss and the others start slagging him a bit, you know nothing disrespectful of anything, saying 'E's a boy eh? Don't know what team he even supports.' And before you know it, there's a whole theory of what the bloke who's in the bog really is up to. And then before you can say 'Eternity rang', he's back from the bogs, this time dressed as a woman and mouthing off obscenities such as "How does one accurately describe an artist that simply does it all? Well, in today's entertainment industry, made up of all too many perpetrators, imitators and infiltrators, the appropriateÂ answer would be; sensational!Â Sexual, seething, sizzling, searing,Â scintillating & savvy are just but a few of the adjectives that are regularly used to describe this international sex symbol & singing/dancing diva." Just saying that it's a bit like whenever a bunch of guys get together in the boozer and start talking about something none of them initially really knows much about and, indeed, cannot really *know* about, since there's always the major and playful factor of deception used as an ingredient in the biographical output. Then, a few minutes later, just as I'd got the pints in, due to global public demand for this incredible music and The KLFÂ producers' vehement declination to tour until "they could fill stadiums and world peace would ensue", the vocal powerhouse took it upon herself to take The KLF show & music to the masses. And with a shared CO-publishingÂ deal on the album as CO-writer of (2) two of it's biggest singles, she had just as much of a vested interest as anyone else to see to it that their albums sold... and her nonstop global touring and promotional efforts resulted in the groups biggest selling album of their entire careers. It's been a hard day's night and I've been working like a god.
