On Friday night (31st Oct) there was an hour long documentary called 'Twenty Years of the Turner Prize' presented by Matthew Collings on Channel 4. He devoted a surprisingly large segment to the whole Rachel Whiteread / K Foundation story, including an interview with Mr Drummond and a silent Mr Cauty, and nice footage of the 3am video, K Foundation posters and their Turner Prize night activities. Collings described the KLF (the band) as 'genius', and the K Foundation as 'slightly confused'. It was generally positive, putting them in context of the moment that the prize became a real cultural event, but described the K Foundation thinking that contemporary art was 'all about money' - a little unfair I think. Overall it was a great programme and if you're interested in contemporary art in general try and get a copy. There was also a wee K Foundation mention in a Turner Prize magazine free with Saturday's Guardian.

Wow, great stuff, Kick Out The Klocks! > Disinformation sheet 01 Hopefully releasing these will be a trend for Blacksmoke. If they had a postbox we could send off stamped addressed envelopes to receive copies of the Disinformation sheets and it would be like the old days again! cheers

It's just post-terrorist modernism for the Boom Bang Generation BLACKSMOKE: 5-11 THE BLACKSMOKE: 5-11 POST-TERRORIST MODERNISM (STAMP SET) FOR THE BOOM BANG GENERATION The Blacksmoke Organisation are a multimedia collective dedicated to the propagation of audio visual noise. On 5th November 2003 Blacksmoke release their second major visual work: "The Blacksmoke: 5-11 Post-Terrorist Modernist (stamp set) alongside a free downloadable DIY MP3 EP from their official website www.blacksmoke.org On the night of 5th November, throughout Britain, Bonfires are set alight, effigies are burned and fireworks are set off in a ritualistic ceremony to commemorate our countries most notorious terrorist Guy Fawkes. Meanwhile, self-serving sophists in US & UK governments direct tax-payer funds to exercise political might for personal gain.
