Most people in Scotland try and get hold of Bank of England notes before travelling south, because most English shops/pubs don't really like accepting "funny money". I can't help thinking that Drummond (who talks at great length in "45" about his feelings of nationalism and his difficulty in accepting becoming success away from home) chose the notes as a wee nod to his homeland and hometown (like the references to recording albums in Dumfriesshire). John PS - On a different point - does anyone know where the cover of "The Man" was photographed? Or for that matter, the cover of the "King of Joy" 12"?

Hi everyone, Just found this link: http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~stuey/klf/live.htm which lists the Liverpool gig as being 23rd (hooray!) June 1991. I'm sure this show was also something to do with Ken Campbell (the theatre director who originally worked with Drummond on the Illuminatus! stage show back in 1976, and later set up a Science-Fiction Theatre in Liverpool that did things like "Hitch-Hiker" very successfully). Anyway, the easyweb list seems very exhaustive - one for the FAQ I wonder? John

hello list long time no see,,i been away and looks like i gonna be away bit longer yet catchin up on the thousands of mails and posts,arf.....ello tim,,,sorry i aint been in touch ,gimme a bell next time your in the area ,) .as for klf being once again in 13 years ,lol ,i cant wait,really lookin forward to it.whats happenin with blacksmoke,,,i dont see much about em anywhere,,its all gone quiet .doesany1 know what they got planned for the future ?ile shaddap now and go do some reading,,bound to be answers to my questions in some of these posts :P .laters
