Unreleased KLF Track

As many of you will recall a cache of lost and forgotten material was rediscovered during Jimmy's house move early last year. Some of the tracks were liberated by The Junior Insurgent Transmitter Ensemble for the soundtrack to the 2009 M25 Spin. We have produced a single track DVD sampler and will be giving it away to all the "spinners" joining us this year. The track featured is a unique version of the Pure Trance classic What Time Is Love and was recorded and performed by The KLF at the very first Helter Skelter illegal rave held on the 30th September 1989. We will be meeting up at Thurrock Service Station just off the M25 at 11am on Saturday 20th March 2010 and will be on the London Orbital Motorway until 1pm on Sunday 21st March. Every two laps we stop for fuel and pick up passengers / collaborators at Clacket Lane Services (clockwise side). Orb Demo

Thought I would start a new thread with this upload. Early Orb Demo - filed under Jimmy Cauty Folder I have added a file taken from The Orbs demo tape of ABTU. This demo stands out as it is not a recognisable track from the album but has an early Jimmy/Alex vibe. Also if you listen carefully you will notice that the beat once it gets going has similarities to the Madrugada Eterna 303 mix from the white room promo although in a slightly different form. I hadn't heard this anywhere else - but maybe someone here has. Take a listen and let me know what you think. Sent from my iPhone

Recovered & Remastered

Hello People. Re the "demise of the R&R series, the next one to have been released would have been an extended and reworked version of Space and so may have brought a new legal dimension into play so look it from the angle that Bill wasn't involved originally! The R&R cd's themselves were high quality and given the production values inc the discs themselves (not CDRs) and the professional sleeves I would very much doubt that those responsible are living it up on some island somewhere! I have emailed them to say that undoubtedly they have added to a lot of personal KLF collections and made a fair few people happy in the process including me! If its solely down to people making a fortune I have had all sorts of offers from list recipients offering to provide me with bootleg / unofficial releases with costs ranging from zero through to postage through to £100 for stuff that seems so unique there's no record of it ever being produced by Jimmy or Bill! Work that one out, I can't! I've done the same and sent two copies of the KLF Arkive 1 disc out free of charge because a) people asked and b) one very generous list member provided me with original (as produced) copies of Lost Sounds and White Room OST free and I salute them as genuine KLF appreciators! I think as rare species (fans of a band that vanished 20+ years back) we are all worse off for this demise and while I would love to see the KLF releasing their own back catalog its not happening! I have a friend who has played live on stage with Bill many years back (one list member knows who I mean) and they are sitting on a gold mine of studio tapes, outtakes and so on but unless all those listed as company directors of a band that's unlikely to reform agree its set to stay unreleased in official form!

Recovered & Remastered Tribute

Hi As some of you may or may not know the people who create the recovered and remastered series have been forced to stop selling their items, digitally and physically. I know many did not like the series in the first place because of the plain fact it was ripping off the KLF and to be honest I don't blame you. However for me personally it felt great to have some of the rarities on a CD and properly remastered and it was the recovered and remastered series that brought my obsession with the KLF back to life (plus this mailing list of course!). And I don't think many will disagree that the live from the lost continent CD was truly amazing and makes the entire series a million times better. But in true KLF style it all ended in it being deleted. R.I.P.

Selling the same thing is bootlegging. Releasing new mixes and taghimg them along with the 'real' klf is not the same as the various remixes over the years which pop up. The project seemed to be over and for some reason popped up again. Its a bit tedious in a way. More in the way it was done. Did they pass on the profits? If it wasn't for money then why not.
