Unreleased KLF Track

As many of you will recall a cache of lost and forgotten material was rediscovered during Jimmy's house move early last year. Some of the tracks were liberated by The Junior Insurgent Transmitter Ensemble for the soundtrack to the 2009 M25 Spin. We have produced a single track DVD sampler and will be giving it away to all the "spinners" joining us this year. The track featured is a unique version of the Pure Trance classic What Time Is Love and was recorded and performed by The KLF at the very first Helter Skelter illegal rave held on the 30th September 1989. We will be meeting up at Thurrock Service Station just off the M25 at 11am on Saturday 20th March 2010 and will be on the London Orbital Motorway until 1pm on Sunday 21st March. Every two laps we stop for fuel and pick up passengers / collaborators at Clacket Lane Services (clockwise side). KLF ftp

Hi all :) During the festive sharing-frenzy that took place some time back, I said I would dump stuff on an ftp for backup-purposes. It's taken some time due to a change of ISP, problems with a router and general laziness. But it's in place now. khake.asuscomm.com user: klf pass: klfisgonnarockya This is basically a lot from the Loophole (but not all), but there may be some other stuff not on the Loophole, as some files were dumped on mediafire, megaupload etc. There's also an old mp3-collection I found somewhere some time ago. As far as I know, I have not shared any of the stuff from Tim and Gimpo. If you see anything that for some reason should be removed, let me know. I've split the share based on formats - so there's a folder for flac, for wav, for mp3 etc. This means there may be duplicates, for instance the same version of WTIL in wav-format and in flac. It's not the most stable ftp in terms of the number of simultaneous users it accepts (and so on), so you may have to a bit patient. I'll try to upload more from Loophole next week - consider it a backup :) Have fun Khake

I am a little confused about what actually is on this release(KLF010IR/IT). A-side: The Queen and I (plus Bill shouting) B-side: The Lovers Side ? Some remix of Madrugada Eterna Can anyone tell if Madrugada is on the 12 '', and if so : What version. (maybe the so-called 303-edit, or the clubmix from Eterna 1). Ulrik Brandt

I recently laid my hands on a refurbed Technics 1200 and a Grado needle with eBay money. I still wasn't happy with the sound so I installed a KAB Electronics fluid dampener and the difference in the sound was astonishing! More clarity, tighter bass, more pronounced drums. I am currently reripping my entire JAMs/ KLF collection and will be upping it to the LL with increased fidelity. It is my hope to obtain an audiophile A/D convertor in the next few months and rip it all to 24/96,000. Until then, I'll be upping raw rips to the LL in 16/44,000 a few a week (as well as iPod ready versions). I hope to have 1987 & Who Killed the JAMs? upped this weekend. Dan

Hi all, While digging around on some old hard drives over the weekend, I found a bunch of tracks from the CD "Throat Singing from Center of Asia". A track called "Collection of Choomej Styles" by Oleg Kuular sounded rather familiar, so I've uploaded it into the usual dedicated sharing site - under Music:Samples:Chill Out I could be wrong, but it sounds a likely source. Personally I keep wetting myself over the fantasy of B&J returning in the year 2015 (23 year after leaving the music business - but I could see this happening in the year 2023 also) for a one off stadium sized gig at the Pyramid stage at Glasto (where else?). Full production with loads of guests. All the hits are played + some oddities. It's going to sound amazing of course. Bam! And then... silence forever. Back in the day a guy named, um, Miles? Niles? something joined the list. He said he wasn't a KLF fan but he had a copy of this 12". He sent me a tape of it. I still have it and the letter he wrote (just came across it last week in fact). Side A is labeled Deep Shit and contains The Queen and I, but at the start Bill yells "Fuck that pop shit! What we need is some deep shit!" I think it started off with some sort of music, there's a record scratch sound, Bill shouts then Queen kicks off. Side B is The Lover's Side, but it's the extended version, previously unknown until that time, which confirms it's ID as the Deep Shit 12" as far as I'm concerned. this topic returns again and again... i remember reading 45 by Kingboy D and how hard was to produce 2k track because they were behind bout what was going on in music production... its a lame excuse imho from someone who was still recording, remixing and releasing after KLF was shutdown. not to mention that sound engineer is somewhat responsible for creating what artists want. if you can make it you just hire someone and thats all. Jimmy regrets deleting backcatalogue? hell, such harcore fanbase that is right here could be very helpful if he just would say GO! if he knows bout us and work that has been going on either on list or in PVC HQ. crapness of comebacks? c'mon KLF could rework unrelased materials into new sounds without being setimental another WTIL remix shit. look at the band SPARKS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparks_(band) guys have been performing since 1968 and their albums still fresh. we got the power here, we still believe in them and someway try to tell JC & BD that our waiting isn't over at least try to persuadee them or just sit and remember ancient times...
