"Mavericks", the fifth of six programmes by Michael Smith, broadcast on BBC4 last week, featured a variety of interviews of with great English eccentrics (Frank Sidebottom, the bloke who sent the British probe to Mars with the Blur song it, and so on). Near the end is a section where Banksy is mentioned (briefly) and Jimmy mentioned a lot more. His stamp is shown on screen. Marco mh79, I think. There was a "KLF documentary" for sale as a video on EBay last year, apparently an art school project, which he won the auction of. I suspect it's that footage. "America: What Time is Love?", I think. It's the only one without a TOTP performance. Not sure what they were doing in Japan, though - possibly promoting "Mu" or one of the box sets? Can't put by hand to it right now, but I think that "stick thing" with Japanese writing on it they were standing behind (and apologies to any Japanese list members for not knowing its proper name) appears in a photo in one of the booklets for the later Japanese-only releases. I got an email from Marco (mh79) at the new year, asking if I had any rare or interesting bits of vid to up to Youtube under the KLFCommunications.Net banner. I do have some stuff (footage of Acid Brass live and the Drummond/Liverpool Rock Family Tree from 1996) which I promise I will send to you soon, Marco, if you're reading! A few months ago, someone was selling an "unreleased" art school project documentary on the KLF, which I noticed Marco won. I suspect it's this video, but I'm not sure. Maybe it's another abandoned film made for "The Word" (like the footage at the Chipping Norton Rave, which was filmed back in '89 and then never screen on telly).
