There can be lots of reasons why it won't play in your player - It can't handle that brand of DVD blank (some players only accept certain brands), wrong format (-R vs +R), wrong broadcast format (PAL vs NTSC vs SECAM), not a proper DVD at all, etc Does it play on your PC? And when you look at the disk contents on your PC what are the files you see? A DVD will have a folder called VIDEO_TS. -paul

ok, so like i've been on orblist for 7-8 years or somethin.. and I just have never gotten around to ask.. or am too burned to remember if I found out: what the hell are they saying in 3am eternal? I sold my KLF 5.1 Dolby DVD on Ebay a few weeks ago. The buyer then contacted me and said he could not get it to work on four separate DVD players. He sent it back (from Switzerland) and I tried it in three DVD players (a DVD recorder, an inbuilt player in a portable TV, and the DVD player in my laptop) and it worked in all three! I copied the DVD onto another disk, and sent both back on Friday. Hopefully this new copy will work for him. But DVDRs (either plus or minus) are tempremental.
