I've e-mailed them and pointed out the many copies of "Lost Sounds of Mu 2" that have been sold recently ... but I can't imagine it'll make much odds. I wouldn't care if I was a big time bootlegger, but getting rid of a huge record collection usually includes bootlegs (I can't imagine many record-collectors don't have some boots of their favourite bands kicking around - although I could be wrong!) It doesn't really make a difference to Ebay (who is the plug-puller in this case) if Razormaid has cut a VERO agreement with them. And they have. Anyone who has ever made the mistake of trying to utilize logic or the English language when dealing with eBay "support" will know what I'm getting at. The sleeves wew done by Slim Smith at Designland. He used to boast he could design a record sleeve in an hour. If you look at Mute sleeves from the same era you can see the design similarities. I'm guessing he used quark on a Mac. What was the state of pro DTP in the late 80s early 90s? Lesson #2 - use asrterisks on ANY words like sh*te. Many lists did have those kinds of auctions or straight-up FS lists like that, yes. There used to be a list called Whitezone which was dedicated to sales and auctions as well. I happen to moderate a yahoo-groups list called idm_mart for the sales/auctions of electronic (and associated) music that sort of stepped in to the vacuum which was created when Chris Gosselin ceased to run Whitezone. You may want to post your auctions (with eBay links, when you use them) there as well. Having seen Watt's emails, you will only wish it was terse. It is more likely to be a whiney, overdone, histrionic diatribe, full of endless detail and spruced up with things which have nothing to do with the subject under discussion. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the KLF a "copyright free" band, and if I'm not mistaken, the artist/writer/producer owns the copyright on a recording and not the mixer. If the KLF don't object to their records being bootlegged, then Razormade should have no legal standing. Dan Hutchins

I checked the Swiss 921 font you mentioned, but that is not the one either: - The capital 'F', 'E' etc. are much wider, the horizontal lines are too long - The capital 'K' is not as symetric as KLF's, the two diagonal lines collide too far to the top of the vertical center of the character itself. - The 'M' is vertically too thin Perhaps they did use it for some of their smaller texts as Compacta is really not suited for that, that /is/ worth a little investigation... All in all, when looking at the WhatThatFont website, the Compacta really matched the 2K single's sleeve the best! Ofcourse, it could be that the font renders a little bit differently on a Mac than on a Windows PC, that maybe explains the little weeny differences there are in spacing of the characters...
