Hello Everyone..
It seems just days ago, we stood together at the annual Toys for Tots Car Show. Rick Massey, A Marine in full dress uniform stood with us, as he had year after year, fact is, for more years than I could count.. Rick truly was a Gentleman by all terms of the meaning, A very nice and special GENTLEMAN!.. Rick dedicated his life to our country, and our community.. I consider our friendship a special and golden opportunity of my life to be associated with the absolute best, of the best.
Rick exemplifies being a MARINE. At our last event together, we were able to just chat, share a few of his stories, have a few laughs, and shed a few tears.. Rick truly cared for “His Kids, His Families, and His “FAMILY of FRIENDS” who come together each year, dig into their pockets and bank accounts, we all realize how difficult it is this time of year when no one has excess funds.. However, in short, People were there,, because of a need, People were there because of a cause… and because of Sgt. Rick Massey..
I will surely miss my Friend Rick, a wonderful and dedicated Guy, his dedications and actions for Toys for Tots are BIG SHOES to fill.. And now filling those shoes is Shane Dastrup! .. We all need to give them our support. All because Rick has paved the way, All because of a need, All because all kids deserve something special for Christmas..
THANKS GUNNY.. God Speed my friend, you will be missed, but the legacy will live on in Shane’s safe hands.
Thank you all, for taking your time to do something so special, … FOR someone SPECIAL !!!
We all knew that because of Rick, and now Shane,.. 100% will ALWAYS go .. where it should go “his families”.. OUR FAMILIES !
