Greetings Everyone. Well, The GOOD GUYS event is now an official part of our Car Hobby HISTORY in Salt Lake.. Good Guys management has decided to DROP Salt Lake from their event list.. I know we are not the only cities dropped from the 2022 schedule.. It's sad and unfortunate.. Two Years of COVID and a little bad weather took its toll effecting attendance.. We wish them well, and one day I hope for them to return.! It's was so nice to let the outside world know.. We have some of the BEST Car Hobbyists in the world.. I really had a blast being part of a great NATIONAL show featured here in our home town.. When show management reached out to me,, I was so honored to be asked to be part of the show. I was very happy to finally have a Salt Lake Good Guys Event.. We started by involving local people/clubs who could help with logistics. Steve Fern from Hot Rod Time and Wasatch Rods & Customs was eager to jump in.. Who would believe BOTH Steve and Good guys would say Goodbye the same season. One statement I heard constantly during this event was.. Utah is unique, no one does what we do, like we do! I take that as a compliment! Having Good guys in Salt lake actually taught us a few things, One, they are well run and event managers are very good at what they do. Two, The Fairgrounds has come a long way since we were kids! The facility has been beautifully renovated and maintained. I had not been at the fairgrounds since I was a young, very young kid. It was a pleasure meeting and working with, Andrew, Betsy, Zak, Edward, and of course, .. Harry Davies who I worked closer with than the others.. Meaning he had to put up with my constant calls and Texts to solve whatever problem came up.
