Greetings Everyone ! Wow, What a Week To fill you in just a little.. Live Daybreak (Soda Row) was a great success, the new additional parking area helped quite a bit, as well as the new Daybreak Car Club.. They provided insight and assisted with parking logistics, GREAT JOB!.. It was nice to meet Ashley, the new Director From Live DayBreak, she did a fantastic job selecting award winners,, and she found out that was a tough job from around 100 who registered. Area gift cards were also given out as door prizes AND gift cards were given to all 7 who won awards! Live Daybreak is always a nice show.. Great restaurants to visit! Next months date for this event is June 16th.. UVU is back, and full on! 417 vehicles registered, All Swap Meet spaces SOLD OUT, (so, next year, reserve EARLY), Due to other school events, show spaces were slightly adjusted, but all worked out splendidly. Thanks to the Don Cash Family, the legendary Bomb Shell Betty was on display and they even fired it up! Ever experienced the sound of a straight eight, specially made by Strasburg Automotive fired up and running an absolute WOW!.. It was so cool to watch so many hauling so many swap meet treasures in little wagons or wheelbarrows, or ??? Jayson from Cornwell tools donated a roll around tool box custom painted/striped by Andy K and his crew, it was auctioned off almost with-out incident (My little generator ran out of gas!) This really is a great show, any and all funds received go directly to Automotive student scholarships.. UVU Instructors and staff need to be highly commended for an absolute great show, Great to have it back on our schedule. If it goes according to schedule next years event will be on May 19 & 20. JELSCO Free Show was very cool, many very nice prizes were given out, 97 officially registered.. not bad seeing as the parking lot is set for around 30.. area shops chipped in with awards and prizes,, ever tried a freeze dried skittles? .. Lost Texan BBQ was the food vendor,, they did great, Have you ever seen 3 in a T? Gary Wetzel took the lost Texan staff for a ride they will not soon forget.. This event is hosted by the Stitt family, continuing a nice tradition started by Jim Stitt, he would be proud everyone really did a splendid job, and THANKS to all who attended, and as for the registration staff?? These guys held up to their usual.. Quality antics By the way, some sneaky person took a snapshot of me filling my generator at the UVU show and, Yes, an Out of Gas Award was awarded to me.. So.. I guess NO ONE is safe from getting spotlighted for OUT OF GAS.. Every dog has its day,, even us OLD Pups! Till now, the OUT OF GAS award has been only for vehicles well, so much for that! !! **Special THANK YOU to Hot Rod Time and Michael Jolly (Jollys Jalopies) for covering these events.. they do an excellent job and really never get the THANKS and Appreciation the certainly deserve THANK YOU from all your Family of Friends..
