The bulk of the dredging is complete now. Pilings are being driven to replace the navigation buoys for the Deep Channel. These pilings will have appropriate red/green lights with proper markers identifying each marker. The furthest out buoys will remain there as the water is too deep for pilings. The dredgers start removing dredging equipment (barges) next week. The week after that, they start tearing down the fence blocking the parking lot and doing repairs to the parking lot as well as restriping the whole north parking lot. After that is done and inspections are complete we will open the launch ramp area back up. We did not get all the dredging done that we would have liked to do but we got much more dredging done than we expected with the money and other limitations we had. In the dredged areas we are seeing six to eight feet of depth. We will probably lift most of the navigation restrictions sometime late next week. Thank you, for your patience Dave
