Annual Bottom of the Pit Chili Cook-Off
GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users. Do you think you have an awesome Chili recipe? Do you just love Chili. It is time for the annual Bottom-of-the-Pit Chili Cook-off! This is the longest running tradition at the Great Salt Lake Marina, starting back in the 1970's and is open to the whole marina community. Saturday, December 19th, the closest Saturday to the Winter Solstice (or Bottom-of-the-Pit) Great Salt Lake State Marina hosts an annual Chili Cook-off. It runs from 11am to 3pm. Bring your favorite chili recipe. A contest will be held with prizes going to: Most Original, Spiciest (hottest), and Best Tasting. Side dishes are also welcome. No need to bring anything if you don't want to. An update on dredging will be discussed at that time. Come out and see old friends. Check on your boats. Turn in slip contracts.
