Dredging is going well. Unfortunately the excavator on the barge broke down last night. Long-reach excavators are not easy to come by. Another one is being mobilized from Montana and should be here in a day or two. This means the barge is stuck in the channel outside the marina mouth. The shallowest draft of boats (very shallow or swing keel boats) could get around the barge. Tour boats can get around the barge. Please monitor VHF 16 and hail the barge that you will be leaving the marina or returning the marina so the excavator operator does not swing the boom or bucket blindly into you. If you do not have a VHF radio please get one or don't go out. We have a dredging meeting scheduled for tomorrow. I will send another update after that meeting. Dave
