Ok. We had quite a few responses. And, with the exception of a couple people, almost everyone would like to postpone and sail as long as possible. It is also quite clear, talking to many of you, that some just aren't ready with trailers, stands or cradles. So we are POSTPONING crane day until Thursday, May 20th. If there are some that just want to come out now please let me know and I will see what we can do to get you a crane schedule earlier. Remember this is a community run event and takes a lot of help to make the day go smooth and safe. If you are interested in helping your fellow neighbor, please let me know. If you want on the May 20th crane please let me know also. We will accommodate as many people as we can that day. We may even do back-to-back days (Thursday and Friday) if we can find the volunteer base necessary to pull that off. It would help reduce crane costs by doing that as we would save on mobilization/setup charges on the cranes. Please take this time to prepare your trailers, cradles, stands. DO NOT ASSUME your trailers work. * Check tires. Make sure they are inflated. Make sure the tires will HOLD air. * Check bolts, pads, and everything else to make sure they are adjustable. Crane time is expense. If you go over 15 minutes it will cost more. * Don't assume your cradle or stands (as well as pads for stands and cradles) are here. Come and look for them. LABEL them with your last name. * Get your masts down BEFORE crane day. That will likely mean you will have to spray turnbuckles, bolts, nuts with a lubricant at least a week prior to dropping your mast. Let me know. Thanks Dave
