Some of you have called and asked if its possible to pull your boats from the lake on the launch ramp. We had a Catalina 27 (4 foot draft) pull out on the launch ramp today. He was able to get his trailer deep enough using a tongue extender. But he ran aground several times from the end of B dock to the launch ramp. So, at the current lake level, it is possible, with some effort, to get to the launch ramp and pull your boat if you have a four foot draft. Dave
Hey there, Good morning! Who used a tongue extender and how long was it? Seeking any tips! Might go this route. Thank you, James We had a Catalina 27 (4 foot draft) pull out on the launch ramp today. James, Depending on the draft of your boat, you may or may not be able to use a tongue extender. What kind of boat? What’s its draft? A retractable keel boat may get by with a tongue extender, but a fixed keel may need to go deeper than an extender will allow (without drowning the tow vehicle). There is a procedure for a trailer retrieval without an extender.
